Advanced TECC & Force-on-Force Training
Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) applies trauma-care principles to emergencies where hazards, violence, or other threats may affect how and when medical care can be provided. This course goes beyond traditional first aid by requiring participants to consider scene safety, threat conditions, casualty movement, communication, and treatment priorities while providing care.
Our Force-on-Force version adds realistic scenarios using Airsoft and other training systems to create changing, unpredictable problems. Participants must assess the situation, respond to threats, move casualties when necessary, communicate with others, and provide appropriate medical care under pressure.
Training can be adapted for armed security teams, law enforcement, responsible armed civilians, and other groups with a duty or expectation to respond during high-risk emergencies.

TECC Skills & Topics Covered
Participants receive hands-on instruction and practice in:
- Care Under Direct Threat (DT): Medical priorities and actions while a threat may still be present
- Care Under Indirect Threat (IDT): Treatment after the immediate threat has been reduced or controlled
- Evacuation Care: Continuing casualty care during movement and evacuation
- Patient approach and triage
- Severe bleeding control
- Tourniquet application
- Wound packing and hemostatic gauze
- Pressure bandages
- Chest seals and penetrating chest injuries
- Recognition of tension pneumothorax
- Casualty movement and evacuation
- Trauma kit setup and equipment selection
- Medical decision-making in high-stress environments
Force-on-Force Scenario Training
This is a highly hands-on course, with participants performing multiple repetitions of the medical and casualty-care skills covered during training.
The course culminates with live-action Force-on-Force scenarios using Airsoft training pistols provided by Fort Worth Combatives. These scenarios require participants to apply medical skills while also managing changing threats, communication, casualty movement, and other problems that can complicate care in a hostile or potentially dangerous environment.

Training will be presented by Nationally and State Certified EMT, Texas Licensed Level 4 Armed Security Personal Protection Officer, Texas License to Carry for Tactical Medical Professional Instructor, Texas License to Carry for First Responders Instructor, Bleeding Control (B-Con), Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI) certified instructor, Tactical Medical Solutions® Associate Trainer, TCOLE SWAT MEDIC graduate, and C-TECC Recognized Education Partner Robert Klenka.
TECC Course Information
This course follows applicable C-TECC TECC Duty to Act / Civilian First Care Provider guidelines and is taught through Fort Worth Combatives as a C-TECC Recognized Educational Partner.
This is not the NAEMT TECC course and does not provide CAPCE continuing-education credit through NAEMT. Students seeking NREMT continuing-education credit may be able to submit completed training hours manually. Acceptance is determined by the applicable credentialing organization, and we cannot guarantee that submitted hours will be accepted.
